I hope everyone is enjoying the holiday season with family and friends.  I love this time of year!! :)
The Christmas lights, snow, fireplace, hot chocolate and snuggling up in a soft blanket; all make this time of year special.

2014 truly went by fast! I started this year with my best friend wedding, made great friends, more weddings, took unexpected falls and raised up again, got out of my comfort zone, and truly took chances.

I am grateful for the family & friends that continue to bless my life without you life would not be the same.   And of course my readers, although I have only been on for a few months thank you for your support.

LipLove: NYX

Hi lvs,

I thought I would share some of my fav lip products from NYX.  I have been using NYX products for  many years and think there round lipsticks are a must buy! They are comparable to brands like MAC.  You can purchase NYX products from Target, Ulta & Walgreens.  You can buy them for $4.00 US.

NYX Round Case Lipsticks

Lipsticks are creamy, smooth, very pigmented.  I love how they showcase the color pretty accurately on the package itself. Only thing I would want to improve is the staying power.  They are good for 2 hrs.

Ready, Get Set, Go!!

I thought I would start my blog off with the oh so important topic of makeup tools.  

Like artists, finding the right brushes can make all the difference in achieving a flawless application.  There are many makeup brush brands varying in shape, size, density, material & price.   Not to long ago, I tried to put together my kit.  Yes, I was overwhelmed with information but I did not give up.    

I wanted to find makeup brushes that helped achieve a flawless face, without breaking the bank.   

Two foundation brushes that I highly recommend are:

Foundation Brushes

1) Sonia Kashuk: Synthetic Flat Top Multipurpose Brush
             Purchased from Target:  $15.97 US

2) Real Techniques: Expert Face Brush
             Purchased from ULTA:  $8.99 US

Honestly, these two brushes are the stars to my kit!! They both are durable, light, dense and super soft.  Although I would have a hard time breaking up with either of them.  I don't think I can part away from Sonia Kashuk Flat Top Multipurpose Brush!

At the end of the day, they both apply liquid foundation like a dream, giving a flawless finish.
